Gate will not open or behaves unexpectedly
Identify the symptom and use the correct guide for this lane.
Before troubleshooting
Coordinate with the site manager to clear and close the affected lane. The White Water gate guide warns that a restart with vehicles over the loops can cause unexpected gate behavior.
Record the behavior
Tell support whether the gate has no visible power, opens with the key but not automatically, remains open, or displays an error. Include the model, lane, and controller-screen message.
Choose the correct procedure
The legacy White Water Magnetic Gate guide follows four stages: verify power, power cycle, investigate a powered gate that will not open, and verify loop signals. It includes photos and should be used only by staff trained for that equipment and procedure.
NXT Wash's Magnetic Gate setup note includes different configuration instructions, including a detector setting. A technician must confirm the lane's converted configuration before applying legacy loop or program settings.
A dark controller screen
The NXT Wash note identifies screen contrast as one possible cause of a blank-looking gate display. A dark display alone does not prove that the gate has no power.
Escalate with
The lane, gate model, screen and indicator state, whether manual operation works, and whether all vehicles and metal objects were clear of the loop area.
Recovery check
Use the site's supervised gate test before reopening the lane. Record any remaining intermittent behavior.
