Move TunnelWatch to the new network
Preserve the controller network while changing the external connection.
Connection and addresses
TunnelWatch / TCS2 connects to NXT Wash over TCP/IP on VLAN 120, through port 22 of the 24-port primary switch.
For the dual-adapter configuration:
| Adapter | Address | Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| External / TCS tunnel LAN | 192.168.120.90 | Match the site's recorded configuration. Use DHCP only when the installer has confirmed it preserves the intended address. |
| Internal controller network | 192.168.121.90 | Do not change to DHCP. Changing this adapter can cause “Stations No Response.” |
Confirm adapter identity before making changes. See the network map and NXT Wash Admin for site details.
Move the external connection
Coordinate downtime and record both adapter configurations. Windows write filters can discard changes after a restart.
- Sign in with authorized local administrator access.
- Disable the applicable write filter and confirm its next-boot state. For the documented UWF configuration, use
uwfmgr.exe volume unprotect C:. - Restart as required by the write-filter change.
- Move the agreed external network connection to the assigned port.
- Apply the confirmed external address configuration, leaving the internal adapter unchanged.
- Restart and verify that settings persist.
- In TunnelWatch, check Production → Remote Connectivity → TunnelWatch.com for CONNECTED.
- Verify controller communication and wash sending with the operator.
Data Collector and Cloud Monitoring may show disconnected when those services are unused; that alone does not mean TunnelWatch.com is disconnected.
