MGC / MGC-Pro: display, loops & service mode
Read the gate controller screen and find the matching detector menu.
Read the operating screen
The operating view shows the program mode, barrier type, barrier position, loop status, and the current functions of the left and right buttons. The four buttons change function with the screen; use the symbols above them.

Understand the loop indicators
An occupied loop icon flashes. The display distinguishes an active loop from a disabled loop, a defective loop, and a loop being referenced. A second detector module adds loops C and D.
White Water’s lane guide describes B as proximity, A as gate/safety, and C as merge. The controller supports configurable loop functions; the saved site configuration determines what each input does.

Find the detector menus
From the operating view, open Main menu → Detector 1 (A-B). Recalibration, each loop’s mode and sensitivity, frequency settings, and module information are here. Detector 2 (C-D) appears when a second detector module is installed.
Keep the loops clear of vehicles during recalibration, as directed in White Water’s guide. Record existing settings before a technician changes them. Sensitivity, frequency, and loop mode are separate settings.

Service mode and safety loops
In Service mode, normal opening and closing commands are ignored, while safety devices remain active. An occupied safety loop can still prevent closing. The manual describes a red service LED and flashing display backlight when Service mode is on, and a green LED after returning to normal operation.
Keep the lane controlled while servicing the gate. Service mode does not bypass safety detection.

Details to send support
Send a photo of the operating screen, the exact warning or error, the lane number, and which loop indicators are flashing with the lane empty. The Information menu provides serial number, hardware version, and software version for matching the correct instructions.
