ICS Auto Sentry retrofit for NXT Wash

Replacement faceplate, Beetronics screen, middleware and lane peripheral connections.

Before starting

Confirm the mounting kit, cabinet model and shipped switch configuration. Do not factory-reset a preconfigured switch unless the implementation team confirms it is required.

Confirm that the replacement faceplate and reader kit meet the no-cut mounting requirement for this cabinet.

Applies to the pictured ICS conversion

The 9-page ICS Auto Sentry guide replaces the old faceplate and display, adds middleware and a PoE switch, and fits a PAX IM30, barcode scanner and Beetronics touchscreen. It is technician installation work. Before starting, ensure the kiosk fully powered off before unplugging and each cable labeled before removal.

Open the illustrated illustrated ICS guide.

Parts and removal — pages 1–3

The parts list includes middleware, PoE switch, power strip, new ICS faceplate, IM30, scanner, Beetronics screen/brackets, HDMI and USB cables, cash-device adapters and Ethernet patch cables. After shutdown, the guide disconnects old peripherals and removes the old faceplate, reader/scanner assembly and display.

Network, faceplate and screen — pages 4–7

The new switch connects the home run and lane Ethernet devices. The middleware connects to that switch and the power strip. The replacement plate carries the IM30 and scanner: IM30 power is separate, its Ethernet goes to the switch, and the scanner goes to middleware.

The Beetronics screen mounts on its brackets. HDMI carries the picture, USB carries touch, and screen power goes to the power strip. Both signal cables go to the middleware.

Cash devices — page 8

The dispenser connects through the new serial-to-Molex cable and serial-to-USB adapter to middleware. A USB bill acceptor connects directly; a serial acceptor uses a serial-to-USB adapter. Do not apply the XPT5 TM1 jumper step to this ICS procedure.

Startup and checks — pages 8–9

Check cable seating and door clearance, power on with the A/C switch, and verify middleware boot. If the implementation team requires switch initialization, the illustrated procedure uses a 15-second reset, yellow Ethernet lights and a wait for restart.

Test the NXT Wash display, touch, home-run/gate/LPR/IM30 links, test card transaction, barcode, bill acceptance and dispense. Reinstall the outer shell and lock the kiosk after the checks.
