White Water network standard

Site equipment, network layout, wireless naming and connection references.

Site network

The router and primary switch connect middleware, POS equipment, the loader, Jetsons, wireless access points and lane equipment. Use the installation port map for each device’s connection.

Minimum internet connection

The site internet minimum is 50 Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload. Both directions must meet the minimum; a plan with 50 Mbps download but less than 50 Mbps upload does not meet this requirement.

Site layout

Use the White Water 24-port map, current site information in NXT Wash Admin and equipment directory to identify the installed devices.

The recommended models for White Water / NXT Wash are:

Location Recommended model Manufacturer link
Indoor Ubiquiti UniFi U7 Lite U7 Lite product page
Outdoor Ubiquiti UniFi U7 Outdoor U7 Outdoor product page

These are recommended equipment choices. Record the actual installed model in the site's equipment inventory. Manufacturer product pages require internet access.

NXT Wash Wi-Fi names

Every NXT Wash-related Wi-Fi network name ends in -N. Tablets and Wi-Fi handheld readers should use the site’s assigned network with that suffix. White Water IT provides the connection details.

Physical ports and network access

Use Equipment connections for power, Ethernet, HDMI and USB connections. The firewall service table lists hosts, protocols and ports.

Tunnel controller connection

The TunnelWatch / TCS2 connection uses TCP/IP through primary-switch port 22 on VLAN 120. The updated plan assigns the TCS tunnel LAN 192.168.120.x with router 192.168.120.1 and controller 192.168.120.90.

At sites using rTC, the updated plan lists the rTC tunnel interface at 192.168.100.91 on the site-device LAN. Match the controller type, address and switch profile to the installation record. No additional interface or relay wiring is required for the confirmed TCP/IP connection.

Controller addressing

VLAN 120 identifies the tunnel communication network. Use the site’s recorded controller address and the installed port profile; a VLAN number alone does not define an IP address or the endpoint’s tagging settings.

TunnelWatch network details identify the controller’s external and protected internal adapters. Keep the internal controller network intact when working on its external connection.

Address and application references

The updated network map lists fixed device ranges, DHCP card readers, core servers and lane/POS switch ports. Local application endpoints lists UIRM, kiosk, tunnel, Lane Assist, display and middleware API URLs.

Self-install planning references

Use the preferred rack layout for equipment placement and the self-install readiness checklist for preconfiguration, no-cut mounting, training and missing configuration steps. The glossary explains device and software terms.
