A lane or the site is offline

Check the scope, power, and visible connections before escalating.

Choose the NXT Wash Wi-Fi network

NXT Wash-related Wi-Fi names always end in -N. Select the site’s assigned network with that suffix. Use the credentials provided for that network.

What this covers

Use this when the NXT Wash router reports a connection problem, several devices stop communicating, or one lane loses connectivity.

First checks

  1. Record which devices and lanes are affected. A single lane and a site-wide outage should be reported differently.
  2. Look at the NXT Wash router display and record its exact message. A U with a bar means the router is still booting.
  3. Confirm that the relevant router, switch, and middleware computer have power.
  4. Visually check the labeled network connections and link lights. A camera or RFID reader may receive its power through a PoE switch port.
  5. If the router says plug in cable, report the WAN connection and link-light state. A technician can check the cable and ISP-side port.
  6. If it says no internet, support can compare connectivity using a laptop on the same ISP port. This requires coordinating any cable move.

What to send support

Include the router message, affected lanes, visible power/link-light state, and whether the site recently lost power or had cabling changed.

Recovery check

With support, verify both network connectivity and the affected business function. A device appearing online alone does not establish that payments or wash sending work.

Site-specific detail

Confirm whether backup internet is installed and working at the site before relying on it.
